Learn about the local street cuisine first-hand in this fun activity! Participants go to a local food market and visit a variety of food stalls where they are challenged by the vendor to recreate well-known dishes that are being prepared.

In this activity, participants are split into teams and make their way through a local food market, completing a food-related scavenger hunt as well as selected food preparation challenges. Participants will get to sample a variety of traditional snacks and cuisine while trying to get as many points as possible. Some of the challenges may require participants to learn some basic words and phrases in Thai as well.
The food stall challenge is a combination of food preparation challenges and a food item scavenger hunt. Teams will receive a set budget, and a master list of challenges that they may complete as and when they would like and as they follow the instructions. Food preparation challenges may include smoothie making, dessert preparation, mango carving and Pad Thai making, among others.
The location for the event is at a local food market within reasonable distance of the client’s hotel or own office.
Points will be given to teams based on the completion of the items on their list, and the quality of the food presented. The team with the most points at the end is the winner.
Insurance and instructor supervision are important safety factors with any event, and in the event of an emergency, transport and medical backup will be standing by.
The event briefing and debrief takes place at the activity location. The group is separated into teams and introduced to their facilitators, then the lead facilitator gives an introduction of the event including (safety) instructions and objectives for the activity.
During the debrief, the facilitator discusses the event challenges and asks each team questions to assess their performance before announcing the winning team (if applicable).
Briefing and debrief usually take around 15 minutes each but can be extended for more in-depth analysis of team performance.
The half day program takes up to 4 hours and the full day program up to 8 hours.

12.00 pm – Return transfer to debrief location
